B-Smart Motel Basel

The self-check-in process was easy. I appreciated having free coffee available in the lobby whenever I needed a pick-me-up. The room, while snug, remained clean enough for my short stay. The free Basel Card made getting around the city so convenient, allowing me to explore easily without transportation worries. Noise from the street disrupted my sleep at night, and the absence of air conditioning left the room uncomfortably warm. Limited staffing without a traditional reception desk also created challenges , especially for urgent needs. Some more family-friendly amenities could benefit future travelers.

The hotel is family owned and the small staff could not have been more helpful.the young lady on reception was most helpful and informative and went out of her way to help us with any enquiries.

Great position for the rail station and tram stop. And a good breakfast

The expense but then again Switzerland is just way overpriced.

People who work in the hotel are wonderful, friendly, helpful and generous. They help you in anyway they can. The charge of the room is absolutely reasonable for the location. It is right next to the train station, shops and stores are near by. Very convenience!

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave us a public transport pass which was very handy. The bathroom was newly renovated and was excellent.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming and there was a bug floating in the milk. It is right near the train station so it is very easy to get to if travelling that way, and easy to find if driving, but the neighbourhood is a bit grimy due to its position near the station. It is on a small alleyway that is noisy at nighttime because of staff at restaurants surrounding the hotel and there are some sex cinemas just up the street.

Hotel staff were very competent and helpful. Hotel is close to railway station and buses.

the hotel was modern and exceptionally clean, great-sized and functional rooms. extremely friendly staff, early check-in and lovely bar. location short walk to transport and city and other parts of the town. for tea or coffee visit confiserie bachmann nearby.

I wasn't clear on how I was charged--I thought my credit card had already been charged but it was also charged when I left, hope I didn't pay twice!

Room was clean and comfortable. Close to Hauptbahnhof and tram connections for the city centre. Transport card that the hotel gave us was a nice bonus.

The noise, though I was up a few floors, my room was above an alley where restaurants were dumping their rubbish. Though clean in the alleyway, there was crashing of cans and people talking very loudly till very late/early hours.
